Enchantment Resort to Gain New Pastry Chef

Rick Griggs, former Dallas pastry chef is moving to Arizona to serve as pastry chef at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona. "They're rebuilding the kitchen, so I'll get to basically create a dream pastry shop," Griggs said. "In many restaurants, the pastry shop is an afterthought or wedged into the main kitchen. This is a beautiful place, and I'll be creating a beautiful space. And I'm looking forward to working with [Chef] Ted Cizma." Kokopelli Suites Pledges funds to Humane Society

Kokopelli Suites, a "Best of Sedona" hotel winner for three years in a row and winner of TripAdvisor's "Certificate of Excellence," is pleased to support the Humane Society of Sedona throughout the month of July as part of its 12 Months of Giving Campaign.  Through the campaign, Kokopelli Suites will donate one dollar for every new Facebook "Like" or Twitter follower (@KokopelliSuites), up to $500.  Additionally, for every reservation made in June using the special promo code HUMANE, Kokopelli Suites will donate five dollars to the organization.  The Humane Society of Sedona is committed to actively helping animals in the community while cultivating the same commitment in others. Verde Valley Sanctuary Receives National Sloan Award
The Verde Valley Sanctuary, which provides shelter for victims of domestic abuse in Sedona and the Verde Valley, received the 2010 Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. The award, sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management, recognizes employers across the U.S. for their innovative and effective workplace practices.
