Pow WOWed at Culture Club!
For the 43rd Anniversary of International Pow Wow, San Francisco played host to a gathering of over 1,500 international and domestic travel buyers and 450 journalists representing over 70 countries. Over the five day conference, the California Academy of Sciences and San Francisco International Airport were honored to host the second evening “all delegate party” on Tuesday, May 24th. Themed “Culture Club”, the 5,000+ delegates mixed and mingled with the cultural jet set, sipped cocktails and California wines, savored international cuisine—all while they enjoyed an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest and natural history museum. And they danced the night away to the sounds of hip San Francisco musicians!

This is only the second time in its history that International Pow Wow was been held in San Francisco. We look forward to seeing many of our clients in Los Angeles next year at 2012 International Pow Wow!

Travel Industry Sales Welcomes Ruth Goldfine
The Travel Industry Sales Department welcomes new staff member, Ruth Goldfine, as Assistant Sales Manager.  Ruth will work alongside Cyd Antang as she develops and manages new and existing clients in her markets and region:

• Bay Area
• Corporations & non - profits
• AAA offices and retail outlets
• Sightseeing bus companies
• Youth and senior markets
• Military
• And more!

Ruth has been with the Academy since 2008 and is currently Guest Services Supervisor.  She has done a terrific job in maintaining and delivering the “Platinum Level” guest experience, managing guest services operations staff, supporting public floor initiatives and ticket office functions.  Further, she has presented staff training and has administered the staff recognition program for Employee of the Month.
