Florida Unemployment at a Four Year Low
Governor Rick Scott joins Mindtree Limited executives in a ribbon cutting ceremony to open their first US Delivery Center in Gainesville, which will create 400 new jobs in five years.
Last week we learned that Florida's unemployment rate dropped to 8.5%, the lowest it has been in almost four years. In October, 12,100 private sector jobs were created, offering more opportunities for Florida families. My number one goal is to create jobs for Florida families and get this state back to work. While I know there is still work that needs to be done, I am confident that we are on the right track.
In the spirit of giving thanks, I would like to extend a debt of gratitude to all of our military men and women who are currently serving abroad to protect our American freedoms. It is because of their bravery and courage that we can enjoy the blessings of the holiday season. While many of these soldiers won't have the opportunity to enjoy a home cooked Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones, we are keeping all of them and their families in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.
I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving.
