Expected to Bring 10,000 Additional Brazilian Shoppers in 2011

 

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 10, 2011) – The Florida Mall, Orlando’s largest shopping destination with more than 260 stores, is pleased to announce that they have signed an exclusive new agreement with Pegasus Transportation, a recognized group transportation service with offices in Orlando and Miami. This alliance will mean that as many as 10,000 additional Brazilian shoppers will visit The Florida Mall this year.

 

“The Florida Mall continues to be a leading tourist destination for great shopping, especially the Brazilian market,” said Brian Peters, General Manager of The Florida Mall.

“Our program with Pegasus Transportation will only increase our visibility with Brazilian tourists as we continue to enjoy international recognition.”

 

Claudia Menezes, Pegasus Vice President, said, “We are thrilled to work with The Florida Mall since year after year our customers really enjoy shopping at this mega mall. “With so many stores, Brazilians visitors love shopping for the latest fashion forward clothing and accessories, as well as jewelry, electronics, home goods and more.”

 

The deal is estimated to bring in an additional 7,000 Brazilian visitors this summer and around 10,000 for the year. The new transportation package being offered to Brazilian groups, includes stops at The Florida Mall, hhgregg and Sports Authority.

 

Pegasus Transportation provides transportation services for groups visiting the state of Florida. Pegasus works with different segments of the domestic group travel market including business, corporate, incentive, senior and student group travel.  The company also possesses extensive international experience having handled tour groups from Asia, Europe, Middle East, and South Africa, as well as Central and South America.

 

Visitors this year will enjoy the many new stores that have opened at The Florida Mall including Soma Intimates, PS from Aeropostale (trendy clothing for girls and boys ages seven to 12), United World of Soccer (soccer jerseys and soccer merchandise), Mochi (self-serve frozen yogurt and assorted toppings), Mind Body and Sole (latest in toning, running and fitness footwear) and Brow Art 23 (professional eyebrow threading).  Shoppers are also enjoying the recently added open-air promenade, The Promenade at The Florida Mall, with premier retailers: H&M, Zara and XXI Forever.
